Former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison, 31, seemingly has it all; she has just moved in to a new flat in London with her new boyfriend, and has a highly successful career and her own show, Vicky Pattison: No Filter.
However, there is still one thing playing on the stunning star’s mind – babies.
“I have never, ever known a fella worry about having kids. But women, God, I don’t know how many women I’ve had that conversation with,” she says on this week’s episode of her show.
Vicky discussed how she would like to have kids whilst enjoying a visit from her mum Carol, saying: “I am going to want to have kids in the next five to 10 years. I didn’t want kids and I was adamant I didn’t, but I feel like what would my future be without them?”
While Vicky is happy with boyfriend former TOWIE star Ercan Ramadan, their relationship is still very new. However, she is still keen to keep her options open when it comes to having kids.
“I don’t want the door to close. There’s options. So, I can freeze my eggs. I just think it’ll take a little bit of pressure off the way I’m feeling. I’d love to have children the traditional way, I’m just taking precautions.”
Vicki is not the only celebrity to contemplate freezing her eggs. In 2017 pop star Rita Ora revealed that she had frozen her eggs in her early twenties. Speaking on the Australian breakfast TV show Sunrise, the British singer explained that family doctor recommended undergoing the procedure sooner rather than later.
“You’re healthiest now and I think it would be great, why don’t you put them away now and you’ll never have to worry about it again?” Rita, 28 said he told her.
Medical experts agree the procedure is the most effective if carried out while still young. However, because it costs around £5,000 per cycle, the fertility procedure remains unaffordable for most people. It is also not available on the NHS unless patient are undergoing medical treatment that might affect their fertility.
