Kanye West’s plan to run for US president is actually gathering momentum as the rapper has announced the top candidate for his running mate.
Days after tweeting that he’ll be joining the presidential elections race in November, Kanye, 43, delivered a wide-ranging interview with Forbes confirming that he is indeed serious about the White House and also who he plans on bringing along for the ride.
In the lengthy profile, Kanye revealed that he hopes Michelle Tidball will join the campaign as his running mate and potential vice president.

Who is Kanye’s running mate candidate Michelle Tidball?
According to the publication, Michelle is a self-professed ‘biblical life coach’ who is based in Cody, Wyoming which, not so coincidentally, is where Kanye and wife Kim Kardashian have their sprawling 4,000-acre family ranch.
Michelle, 57, is said to run the nonprofit organisation Abundant Ministries that has a website, Yarash, which is Hebrew for ‘to seize or to inherit’.
Through the life coaching sessions, the website promises to ‘help empower to make, meet, and achieve your professional and personal goals’. This includes ‘understand God’s will’ and focusing on the ‘Present/Futures rather than focusing on the past’.
In her bio on the website, which is currently undergoing construction, Michelle says she has ‘various degrees in mental health and criminal justice’ and previously ‘worked as a mental health therapist for 10 years’ before making her foray in the world of life coaching.
Michelle has also previously served as executive director of nonprofit organisation Bright Futures Mentoring Program, which helped mentor students in Cody.
What’s Kanye’s political party called?
Some support the Democratic Party, others the Republicans – and now some might pledge their allegiance to the Birthday Party, founded by Kanye circa July 2020.
When asked about the, well, fun choice of name, the father-of-four said simply: ‘Because when we win, it’s everybody’s birthday.
As well as Michelle as his running mate, Kanye will also have guidance from Tesla boss Elon Musk who immediately replied to the rapper’s announcement: ‘You have my full support!’
Although he’s already missed some important deadlines in the presidential race, Kanye of course remains confident about his chances.
‘Like anything I’ve ever done in my life, I’m going to win,’ he said.
