Will Meghan Markle attend Wimbledon again this year?
The grand slam tournament starts on July 1, which comes less than two months after the Duchess of Sussex welcomed her first child, son Archie Harrison, and several months before she’s expected to return to her official royal duties as her maternity leave continues.
Sources tell ET that the 37-year-old former “Suits” actress is expected attend this year’s tournament in support of her longtime friend, Serena Williams, who will be vying for her record-breaking 24th grand slam singles title.

The insider said that the only reason why she wouldn’t attend at some point throughout the two-week event would be if “the baby keeps her home last minute.”

Last year, Meghan attended the 2018 Wimbledon women’s singles final and sat in the royal box alongside sister-in-law, Kate Middleton. Williams lost to Germany’s Angelique Kerber 6-3, 6-3.

Before Meghan’s first joint outing with Kate to support her pal, Serena gushed about the support she feels from the American-born royal.
“We’ve always had a wonderful friendship and every year for a couple years she comes out to Wimbledon, has supported me,” Serena said. “Now, she’s supporting me in a different role.”
