In 2020, Errolson Hugh’s Berlin-based label ACRONYM joined forces with ASUS for a surprising collaboration which came in the form of an ROG ZEPHYRUS G14-ACRNM laptop. It caught the attention of many with its unique design elements for the external aesthetics as well as the bonus material found within the software that created an interesting hunt for more information on upcoming projects. Three years later and we are now presented with a new collaboration from the duo in the ROG Flow Z-13-ACRNM RMT02 gaming device.
Building upon the first collaboration’s aesthetics, this new tablet utilized the design skills of concept artist Phil Saunders who is best known for creating the Ironman suit. The exterior boasts and industrial-like chassis system that allows for sling attachments for portability which can also be interfaced with existing ACRONYM jackets. Alongside the portability aspect, this robust system provides protection and the rubber holds on the back to enable a more stable handgrip when on the move. Users will find the detachable keyboard integrates a similar futuristic design choice in the colors while ACRONYM branding cues are scattered all around.
Beneath the surface, the device is powered by an Intel CoreTM i9-13900H Processor with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 GPU so that a variety of tasks including gaming can be achieved. A 1TB SSD and 32GB RAM supplements the performance and to round things out, the display boasts 500NITS brightness, a 165HZ refresh rate and a 100% DCI-P3 touchscreen panel. To complete the whole product, items included such as the separate pouch allows for peripheral items like a stylus and charging unit to be stored with convenience. Similar to the first laptop collaboration, packaging includes the transparent bubble sleeves and branding throughout.
Check out the images above and keep a lookout for the ROG Flow Z13-ACRNM RMT-02 to release on April 3 for a retail price of $2,499.99 USD at ASUS eShop and Amazon.
For more ACRONYM news, the brand also just released its Spring/Summer 2023 collection that include a number of jacket and pant options.
