adidas Originals Decks the EQT Support 93 In GORE-TEX

Back in 1991, adidas Originals stepped into the heavy-duty performance sphere with its Equipment line, and now one of the greatest pairs to come from this project is being given a re-release. The EQT Support 93 turns 30 this year and sees its outdoorsy-prepped aesthetic decked in a “Core Black” and purple GORE-TEX-equipped makeover for 2022.

Like many pairs that were released back in the ’90s, this adidas Originals sneaker is made using some of the finest materials. For example, the upper is made from “Core Black” leather that’s presented with a visible grain to it, while padded nylon has been used for the tongue where you’ll find original adidas EQT branding alongside a set of waxed rope laces threaded through purple plastic eyelets.

These eyelets lock the black webbing Three Stripes in place on the mid-panels, while the medial side also comes with the EQT Support 93’s signature plastic collar support piece appearing in black, simultaneously forming the very top eyelet. Rounding out this retro-inspired pair is the embroidered branding on the leather heel, a leather-lined interior, the quintessential sole unit, and of course, GORE-TEX membrane protection all over the upper.

Take a look at adidas Originals’ EQT Support 93 GORE-TEX above, and purchase it from adidas CONFIRMED on February 8 for £130 GBP (approximately $175 USD).
