adidas Originals has just presented a new iteration of its Forum Mid — and this time, the Three Stripe has tapped Lil Dre to assist with a modernized approach to skateboarding.
It’s no secret that the Forum Mid isn’t as widely popular as its Low counterpart, however, the sneaker has found attention through its collaborative and well-constructed looks. For example, adidas presented its “Brown” iteration which was a perfect counterpart for the Fall and it came as a versatile and well-rounded design that can be mixed and matched with various styles.
Now, adidas’ new Forum 84 Mid ADV x Lil Dre model takes the court classic as its main foundation and experiments with a mix of pink splashes, embroidered details, and varsity inspiration.
Using Lil Dre as a collaboration partner also makes sense for adidas; the skater has a strong affiliation with fashion — take a look at his recent campaign with YSL for proof of that — and his skateboarding roots allow the sneaker to be relied on as a model that can be trusted when on the board.
The finer details of the shoe include a debossed “84” logo on the heel, while the customary strap features a chain-stitched Lil Dre signature. Rounding off the design, the Forum 84 Mid ADV has been fully adapted for modern skateboarding with a durable leather upper, textile lining, and a grippy rubber outsole for feel and flick.
You can take a closer look at the new adidas Originals x Lil Dre collaboration above and the sneaker is available on the official adidas website now.
