The Stan Smith is arguably one of adidas Originals’ most recognisable silhouettes. Originally released back in 1963, the tennis-inspired silhouette has been a staple in the brand’s footwear rotation ever since.
Now, for the first drop in adidas Originals’ new Star Wars Legacy of Boba Fett collection, the label has decorated the epochal Stan Smith to celebrate the legendary prototype L-slot rocket firing action figure, which last year sold for $165,200 USD.
This isn’t the first time the sportswear brand has dropped Boba Fett-inspired sneakers, following a “Sarlacc Pit” Samba and a two-piece pack of NMD R1 and Ozelia towards the end of last year.
For this latest release, adidas Originals remains in-keeping with the Stan Smith’s minimalist aesthetic. Crafted with the brand’s sustainability-focused Primegreen material, the sneaker comes equipped with a translucent midsole echoing the unpainted figurine, and is doused in an all-over “Gray Ash” colorway.
The adidas Originals Stan Smith Boba Fett are available to buy now from the brand’s online webstore, retailing at £75 (approximately $100 USD).
In other footwear news, adidas is finally set to release its NMD S1 “Ice Mint/Oynx”.
