Adsum Heads North to Vermont For Winter 2021

After paying homage to Maine for its fall collection, New York-based label Adsum again ventures north to the state of Vermont for its Winter 2021 capsule.

Reachable from New York City via a long and grueling road trip, Vermont is home to some of the best mountain terrain in the Northeast. Populated with sporadic towns, the state is renowned for its laid back, bohemian vibe and its deep connection to the environment — something Adsum takes inspiration from.

Similarly taking notes from the activities tourists would typically do on a short trip to Vermont during the winter months, the brand hones in on Vermont’s snowboarding and skiing heritage, and also introduces new shades of bright colors which give high contrast against the common grey winter days.

Synthetics, down-filled garments, bonded waterproof breathable fabrics, heavy gauge sweaters, and polar fleece accessories focus on the colder climates ahead, with stand-out pieces arriving in the form of the M97, Club Check and Alpine jackets.

The M97 boasts a split construction — commonly found on horse riding jackets — so the wearer can unzip and unbutton the lower section of the main zipper, but keep the top secured. The Club Check jacket is a casual button front jacket made from a dense heavyweight 100% cotton broadcloth sandwiching a recycled fibre internal batting, while the vibrant red alpine jacket is an updated take on a brand favourite.

A lambswool-nylon blend merino sweater also catches the eye, with its heavy gauge yet buttery soft construction, which features original artwork from Joe Garvey, alongside accessories in the form of hand warmer muffs and a packable tote bag.

The full Adsum Winter 2021 collection is set to drop on November 19, 11am EST, via the brand’s online webstore.
