Swiss watch brand Corum has partnered with French street artist Aiiroh for a new Bubble watch and artwork.
The 47mm Corum Bubble x Aiiroh continues the use of the unmistakeable Bubble silhouette as a canvas for artistic expression, a constant since the Bubble was launched 22 years ago.
The black PVD-coated stainless steel watch takes its inspiration from Aiiroh’s own “Black Série Rose” artwork, a colourful poster collage behind a black rose cutout, forming petals in shades of turquoise, orange, lavender, purple, blue, red, yellow and green. Here the stylized rose overlay is black-coated aluminum.
The watch – water resistant to 100m – is powered by an automatic calibre CO 082 with 42-hour power reserve, visible through a sapphire crystal caseback.
Aiiroh also worked with fellow artists and Mind The Gap collective members, Soyz Bank and Namisen, to create an accompanying art piece based on Corum’s certificate of authenticity. Soyz Bank took a painting created by Aiiroh and Namisen and formed a three dimensional, folded resin sculpture.
Just 88 pieces of the Bubble x Aiiroh are being made available and drop via Corum retailers in November, priced CHF 7,200 (approximately $7,460 USD).
Elsewhere in watches, CODE41 designs ultra-thin portable desk clock.
