With Atlanta, Georgia growing to become the country’s sixth-largest city, it’s no surprise that big businesses and industry leaders are vying for prime real estate in that space. Amongst that number is a new high-fashion retailer called ANT/DOTE, which recently opened its doors for business.
Inside the stand-alone, monochromatic multi-level boutique resides plaster walls and terrazzo floors that carry big-name brands including Rick Owens, Jil Sander, Junya Watanabe, MUGLER, Undercover and Y/Project. Seasonal assortments of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories fill out the design-driven space, while exclusive candles and fragrances line the store shelves. Those wall displays are comprised of brands such as Aesop, Cire Trudon, Mad et Len and Perfumer H.
Founded by entrepreneur and philanthropist, Lauren A. Amos, and joined by her business partner Eugene Rabkin, ANT/DOTE aims to be the go-to, unique fashion shopping experience for residents of ‘The A.’ Additionally, the West Midtown shop location – designed by Chris Benfield, the architect who designed Balenciaga, Rick Owens and Dior Homme’s North American stores – offers a VIP lounge for private customer experiences. Helping to facilitate the store’s inventory alongside Amos and Rabkin, is Karlo Steel, the Creative Director and Buyer for ANT/DOTE.
Speaking on the boutique’s opening and its presence in the area, Rabkin (the store’s Director), says, “We wanted to solve the problem of people getting lost and paralyzed with too much information out there, and drowning in choices. We get to curate a retail environment where the idea is, that if you come to the store, you’re going to find something amazing here.”
Cementing Rabkin’s sentiment, Amos says, “I’ve been in retail since 2003, and Atlanta needs a store like this. I think customers are tired of some of the big department stores not delivering on a true luxury experience, and people are ready to move away from that.”
Located at 525 Bishop Street in Atlanta, GA, the ANT/DOTE store is now open, and more information can be found on its website.
