Streetwear newcomer BACKSIDECLUB continues its global expedition through design, dropping a new seasonal collection inspired by the active scenes of East Los Angeles and its hometown Cannaregio, Venice.
Titled “Nomadizm Manifesto”, the latest range concentrates on versatile winter pieces that skaters can wear across their busy lifestyles. Taking casual staples such as coach jackets and shell pants, the Apache Factory label refines the garments with straight-cut silhouettes to craft a more sartorial edge. Minimally designed double breasted coats are also given an extra boxy fit to playfully mix and match with mid-layers.
Tapping into its Italian craftsmanship, BACKSIDECLUB introduces a range of high-quality fabrics to reinforce the sleek streetwear look. A superfine “Cool Wool” material boasts a crisp feel that is used on the jackets for its lightweight yet temperature regulating qualities as well as a luxurious cashmere yarn on the shirts, jumpers and other knit pieces.
Following on from a bright, bandana patterned debut collection, the new drop arrives with contrastingly deeper tones and striking graphics. On the back of the hoody and sweatshirt offering, these graphics are elevated with a textural 3D effect, achieved through the combination of screen printing and neon embroidery. Other decorative details in the collection include trousers with hiking-inspired 3M taping as well as knit jumpers overprinted with vinyl and velour.
The new BACKSIDECLUB winter collection is available to buy now online and in select retailers.
