Just one day after the debut of its Spring 2024 collection, “Capital B,” Balenciaga has returned to drop off an exclusive capsule collection of “Offshore” apparel. As the brand continues to seek redemption, following the controversial campaign imagery that led to its downfall at the tail-end of last year, this latest range is rather straightforward, centering signature graphics on hoodies, T-shirts and sweatpants.
Among the line, the Offshore T-shirt appears with an oversized fit, donning offshore, graffiti-inspired branding on the front, back and sleeves. A long-sleeved version, meanwhile, boasts an identical layout, letting the washed-out lettering come down to its wearer’s wrists. Made with vintage jersey, both crewneck silhouettes are available in black and pink colorways.
Additionally, the collection includes a zip-up hoodie, made with a “medium fit” that lands just above the waist, in the same colors. With dropped shoulders and double-ended zip fastening, the design again flaunts the offshore artwork on the back and sleeves. Rounding out the range, baggy sweatpants, featuring an elasticated waistband, house the same motif down both legs.
Here, Demna again plays it safe, putting artistry at the forefront, as part of the brand’s move away from fashion as entertainment.
Balenciaga’s exclusive “Offshore” release is now available on the brand’s webstore, as well as in select stores. Prices range from $895 USD to $1,550 USD. Take a closer look at the collection in the gallery above.
