Bang & Olufsen's New Beosound Emerge Speaker Wants to Be a Book

Bang & Olufsen has created the perfect speaker for those who need to maximalize space but don’t want to sacrifice their listening experience, introducing the Beosound Emerge.

Designed in collaboration with Benjamin Hubert of the design studio LAYER (who also worked with the Danish audio company on its Beosound Balance speaker), the Emerge is designed to not only look like the form of a book, but to also neatly fit on a bookshelf.

Its semblance to other books on a bookshelf means it blends almost seamlessly into your catalog of books, making it look natural and unassuming. However, as with all Bang & Olufsen products, sound quality is anything but unassuming, as it delivers an assertive, crisp, clear, but deep and rounded sound from its extended design profile.

The sides wrap around the speaker like a spine, while the front of the speaker is marked with Bang & Olufsen’s moniker like an author’s name on a book. Furthermore, the audio company has ensured that this timeless design remains up-to-date in the future, as it’s enabled to accept software updates to future-proof the speaker.

Take a look at the Bang & Olufsen Beosound Emerge above, and purchase the speaker in select European markets on Bang & Olufsen’s website and at select stores now. The speaker will release more widely in the fall of 2021, with two colors being available: “Gold Tone” costing €749 EUR/£669 GBP/$899 USD or “Black Anthracite” which retails at €599 EUR/539 GBP/$699 USD.

In other news, LG’s $89,000 USD TV is now available in the United States.
