Blake Lively brings daughters to see dad Ryan Reynolds on Deadpool set

Blake Lively brought two of her and Ryan Reynolds’ four children to the Deadpool 3 set in Norfolk on Wednesday.

The 35-year-old actress swung by the beach location with their older daughters and, adorably, one was holding a Wolverine toy.

Ryan, 46, is of course currently filming with Hugh Jackman, who plays the X-Men character, and perhaps the former’s daughter was hoping to get her figurine signed.

Hugh, 54, has been seen filming with Ryan in recent days wearing his character’s iconic yellow X-Men jumpsuit, however, midweek only his stunt double was seen on set.

Ryan wrapped his arm around Blake as they strolled around and the actress looked as chic as ever in a white blouse while her husband stomped around in his red Deadpool jumpsuit.

Photos taken from the set earlier this week showed Ryan and Hugh engaged in a dangerous clash while in costume.

Body doubles were in sight as the duo slashed, kicked, punched and flew through the air, with Ryan suspended on strings to aid his stunts.

Outside of the action shots, the two actors can be seen hanging out on set, laughing with each other and at one point embracing.

This third instalment of the franchise will finally see Deadpool dip his toe into the multiverse as the Marvel anti-hero teams up with not just Wolverine, but also Jennifer Garner’s Elektra.

While this might be the third stand-alone film for Deadpool, also known as Wade Wilson, it is actually the fourth time Ryan has portrayed the wisecracking mercenary on screen.

He appeared, rather contentiously, in X-Men Origins: Wolverine as the final antagonist to Hugh’s Logan.

The filmmakers decided to sew Wade’s mouth shut stopping any jokes from the ‘merc with a mouth’, as well as changing his powers, his face, and basically the entire character.

In both previous Deadpool films, Wade has made a joke out of his X-Men version, much to the joy of fans who disliked that iteration of the insane anti-hero.

Despite their reservations about the Origins Deadpool, fans have long been waiting to see if Hugh and Ryan, who are friends off-screen, will reunite these characters.
