Hot on the heels of Bottega Veneta‘s Puddle Bomber boot pre-order launch comes yet another pair of boots, this time introducing the Flash silhouette in “Black,” “Grass,” and “String.”
These core house colorways combine with traditional Chelsea boot design cues, yet come together on a subverted take that’s quintessential of Daniel Lee‘s expressive and progressive design language. This is the same approach that has made his Puddle boots, Lean boots, Bounce boots and more becoming instant successes and footwear must-haves, and we don’t see why the Flash can’t have the same effect.
Using 100-percent lambskin, Bottega Veneta crafts a rather subtle shape that’s elegant and traditional. Working your way towards the mid-panel, you find the classic Chelsea boot segment but it now appears in a sporty mesh fabric, and from here, we notice the pull tab and an architectural sole unit.
Fitted with a 7cm heel, the sole unit is split between a wedge at the rear, a lugged section at the front, and a curvaceous middle area for added comfort. More technical materials line the interior and lead the eye to the lambskin leather branded insoles, while webbing runs down the full length of the heel.
Bottega Veneta’s Flash boot retails for $1,100 USD and can be pre-ordered online now, or you can wait for an in-store drop to come sometime in September.
