Aside from being a premier marketplace for streetwear and sneaker products, GOAT also kills it on the content side through its biannual print magazine titled GREATEST. And this month, it’s returning with “Issue 07” that calls on Brent Faiyaz and Mowalola to be the cover stars. This newest body of work zeroes in on culture-individuals that move with optimism along with the concept of embracing art and its ways of elevating humanity.
Rising R&B artist Brent Faiyaz‘s interview is centered around his ascension on music coming from the underground scene, the impact of Black art and the responsibility of finding the right community to share it with. Mowalola touches on her creative journey and evolution as a designer and an artist. You’ll find a piece where Leo Reilly speaks to Beck who discusses the need to reset in order to move forward as well as Ukranian ballet dancer Sonya Mohova who creates a series of self-portraits where she contorts her body and styles herself in transgressive outfits to challenge her own identity. Furthermore, JJJJound tasked its readers to apply meaning to a contextless folder of iPhone phots that were shot by Justin Saunders and his design studio.
“The latest issue of GREATEST examines art’s unique ability to transcend and unite,” said Sen Sugano, Chief Brand Officer of GOAT Group. “From sketches of Isamu Noguchi’s groundbreaking work to Mowalola’s modern interpretation of Y2K aesthetics, the stories shared in this issue explore this concept through different mediums, inspiring our community and future generations to be their greatest.”
GREATEST is out now via GOAT’s site for $10 USD.
For other news, first images of the upcoming Supreme x Nike SB Dunk High have surfaced.
