Britain's Got Talent 2023 winner crowned after close and eventful final

Britain’s Got Talent has crowned Viggo Venn as its 2023 winner!

Viggo embraced co-hosts Ant and Dec in bear hugs before celebrating onstage, visibly rather shocked after an eventful performance earlier in the evening.

‘I feel extremely visible right now, thank you so much!’ he declared.

He then joked that he had won’s ‘Simon’s heart’ as well as the heart of the UK with his victory.

Dancer Lilliana Clifton and magician Cillian O’Connor both made the top three but missed out on the title.

Viggo will take home a whopping £250,000 as well as the chance to perform at the Royal Variety Performance.

10 finalists battled it out for the win, with Viggo, Musa Motha, Amy Lou Smith, Travis George, Lilliana Clifton, Cillian O’Connor, Malakai Bayoh, Duo Odyssey, Olivia Lynes, Ghetto Kids all being in with a chance.

Meanwhile, Tonikaku, the Japanese comic who likes to remind people he’s wearing his pants, was brought back as a wildcard, thoroughly entertaining the judges once more and being branded the ‘funniest thing’ ever seen on BGT.

It was an eventful night, with judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli impressed by all of the performances.

Comedic act Viggo had brought his own special brand of chaos to the show on Sunday after he actually slipped up during his performance, accidentally letting a balloon go into the audience that he was meant to use in his act.

This led to a pause in his performance as he swore and checked with Ant and Dec if the show was being broadcast live, which they reminded him it was.

Luckily, he was able to continue with his act, which saw him climb into a giant green balloon, as you do, and invite Simon onstage to pop it.
