Citizen has revealed a series of four Star Wars-inspired Tsuno Chrono models dropping later this year.
While R2-D2 and C-3PO might not sound like much of a match for Sith Lords Darth Vader and Darth Maul, Citizen has clearly sought to bring balance to The Force, with characters from both the light and dark sides of the Star Wars universe.
The 38mm bullhead chronographs take on the characteristics of their respective character, not just across anthropomorphic dials, but through the material and finish selected for their case, bezel and bracelet.
The configuration of the quartz watches comes from the 1972 Chronograph Challenge Timer, Citizen’s first full chronograph, which became known as the Tsuno – or horns – Chrono because of the placement of the pushers and crown at the top of the watch.
The four watch Tsuno Chrono Star Wars collection drops in the Autumn via Citizen retailers, with prices starting at £249 GBP (approximately $310 USD) for the R2-D2 model while the other three will cost £279 GBP ($350 USD).
