Following the social media teasers of the upcoming Stüssy x Levi’s denim capsule collection, titular streetwear brand releases a closer look at the what’s to come.
The upcoming Spring/Summer 2023 collaboration sees both Californian brands come together to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Levi’s 501 Jeans. Stüssy reimagines the Type II Trucker Jacket as well, with its own signature aesthetic.
Both pieces arrive in a matching rugged, worn indigo wash. The jeans are a straight-leg cut and have a five-pocket styling. It features co-branded embossed motifs seen on the front and back of the left and right legs, including a custom co-branded back a patch that combines both Levi’s Two Horse Pull and Stüssy logos. The 150th-anniversary celebration is commemorated with a special edition pocket bag print and anniversary pocket flasher.
As for the Type II Trucker Jacket, the boxed-cut fit includes relaxed arms and added welted pockets. Additional detailing comes from the corduroy collar, co-branded button shanks, Baja-inspired pocket bags and the classic Stüssy’s eightball logo printed on the inner lining of the denim jacket. The embossed motif is printed on the back of the jacket, combining Levi’s button-shank graphic with Stüssy’s subversive Double S design. The embossed graphic gives an added tactile texture that makes the pieces that much more unique.
Look out for the Canadian tuxedo-inspired collection launching globally on February 24 on Levi’s and Stüssy as well as select retail stores and other Dover Street Market locations.
