Crocs has had a busy year up to date. Following collaborations with the likes of MCM, Balenciaga, Awake NY, Carrots, and more, the global footwear company has now introduced its latest partners: retailer Stance and Worcester-born artist B. Thom.
The trio has come together to deliver the message that art doesn’t live in a box. By covering the design in B. Thom’s high-contrast and hand-painted aesthetic, the color scheme is influenced by Thom’s grandmother’s quilts and the organic floral patterns they host. Keeping the collaboration tight-knitted towards a D.I.Y. mentality, the featured mosaic design also includes typography along with added hand-painted patterns that show Thom using instincts and initiative to create an off-the-cuff deception of the days back at his grandmother’s home.
The hand-painted is kept design atop a black base, while the orange insole creates a contrasting look that takes the wearer from day to night. The collaboration also includes a unique Jibbitz charm that represents B. Thom’s approach to being able to make art anywhere.
You can have a closer look at the Crocs x Stance x B. Thom collaboration above and it is available now on the official Stance website for $85 USD.
