More than a year after its original intended launch, Death of the Nile has finally released a second trailer giving fans a better look at what’s to come as well as announcing a new theatrical release date.
Now pushed back from October of last year to February of 2022, the Kenneth Branagh-directed film will follow from the events of his first installment, Murder on the Orient Express, with Branagh himself reprising the role of the famous detective Hercule Poirot. The project is, of course, once again based on another novel from Agatha Christie and follows Poirot as he goes on vacation in Egypt. As fate would have it, the renowned investigator has once again been pulled into a mysterious murder plot, this time taking place on the Nile, with everyone on board the river steamer all having their own motives for the kill.
Joining Branagh is an all-star cast including Wonder Woman and Red Notice‘s Gal Gadot, The Man From U.N.C.L.E veteran Armie Hammer, Tom Bateman, Russell Brand, Letitia Wright, Jennifer Saunders, Emma Mackey, Rose Leslie, Ali Fazal, Dawn French, Annette Bening and Sophie Okonedo.
Elsewhere in entertainment, The Matrix Resurrections has clocked in at 70% on Rotten Tomatoes.
