Drake Recovery From Surgery Delays Release of 'Certified Lover Boy'

Despite heavy fan-anticipation, Drake has delayed the release of his Certified Lover Boy project.

Originally set to drop last summer, the official release of the Canadian artist’s sixth studio was then pushed to January before being delayed again this week. Taking to Instagram, Drake posted a Story revealing that he is still recovering from the knee surgery he underwent back in October.

“I was planning to release my album this month but between surgery and rehab my energy has been dedicated to recovery.

I’m blessed to be back on my feet feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won’t be dropping in January.

I’m looking forward to sharing it with you all in 2021.”

Aside from getting a look at accompanying Nike merch and receiving his Lil Durk-assisted “Laugh Now Cry Later,” we still really don’t know too much about Drake’s Certified Lover Boy project which is now delayed indefinitely.
