A major advantage that Jordan Brand has with its extensive catalog is that it can essentially recycle older designs and patterns to influence its modern offerings. And one element that’s signature to the brand is the elephant print often associated with the Tinker Hatfield-designed Air Jordan 3, which it’s now slated to maneuver its way onto the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG.
Thanks to sneaker-focused account zsneakerheadz, we’ve got ourselves a first glance at the upcoming grayscale colorway. The AJ 3-inspired cement patterns do most of the heavy lifting here as they dress up the overlays that are situated on the collars, forefoot, throat and lower heels, all of which are dyed with “Tech Grey” backdrops. Its neighboring toe boxes and quarter panels are fashioned with bright white outers while notes of black provide contrast through the Swooshes, laces, collars and ball-and-wings logos. Underneath all of that, the midsoles come prepared with “Muslin” exteriors and arrive stacked above outsoles that are completely covered in more “Tech Grey” paint.
Early reports are hinting that these will be arriving in March 2023 for $180 USD, so you can expect Nike and other retailers to confirm this in the upcoming months.
For other news, on-foot images of the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Lost & Found” have appeared ahead of its highly-anticipated release.
