FEBEN SS24 Is Grounded In Strong-Willed Venerability

London-based designer FEBEN is making her mark on the London Fashion Week schedule, becoming essential in her emerging routine. Once again, FEBEN was elected as a BFC NEWGEN recipient for 2023, standing out from the crowd for her intricate womenswear that makes a sensible statement.

The designer returned to London Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2024, continuing to evolve her thriving design language one step at a time. The collection, titled “Temple,” was a sentimental tribute to vulnerability and desire, asking wearers to respect their anatomical home. FEBEN played with perception through warped outlines that rebel in illusion, bending natural shapes into something entirely new.

The spiritual collection began with a single skintight dress that later multiplied, freeing the body from visual constraints. Tinted artwork took the shape of children’s hands, playfully smeared down delicate fabrics. Beaded dresses swung back and forth with movement while ruffled textiles clung together for dear life.

In the menswear department, FEBEN debuted asymmetrical tops pulled to one side, contrasted by military-inspired uniforms with extended belts and oversized openings. FEBEN walked on the line of fantasy, sending models down the runway in pointed-toe boots with slashed sphere ornamentation that engaged with our visual senses.
