HBO has officially revealed the first teaser trailer for House of the Dragon, a prequel series to Game of Thrones. The series tells the story of House Targaryen, and is set two centuries before the events of Game of Thrones.
Showcasing the first official footage from House of the Dragon, the trailer also gives a first look at previously announced cast members such as Paddy Considine as King Viserys I Targaryen, Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen Olivia Cooke as Lady Alicent Hightower and Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen.
The trailer begins with a voiceover, saying, “Gods, kings, fire and blood,” before concluding that, “Dreams didn’t make us kinds. Dragons did.” Interspersed through footage from the series, text adds the context within which it is set, explaining that “200 years before the throne fell, a dynasty reigned.”
