After launching an ongoing pop-up with 3Keung earlier this month, GrowthRing & Supply is now readying Drop 06 of its Project Rising series to commemorate its latest activation.
Setting up shop inside Time Square shopping center in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, the special retail experience celebrates local culture and art. Titled “Boundless; Needless,” the space takes on the look of a traditional Hong Kong martial arts dojo with Japanese flair. Aside from vintage furniture and ornaments, the pop-up features lion heads drawn from local name 3Keung’s collection for a mix of cultural elements.
Highly limited, the special release is led by the Rising Lion Reversible Jacquard Kimono and CNY Tiger Reversible Jacquard Kimono. Inspired by the uniform of Japanese firefighters during the Meiji period, the jacquard kimonos are double-sided with jacquard print outers and MA-1 bomber interiors. Other items include a range of GRS’s signature full print oversized shirts, Boundless Heavy Washed Hoodie and a lineup of vintage T-shirts.
Rounding up Project Rising Drop 06 are jacquard and embroidered throw pillows, along with GRS pins and Chinese New Year red pockets.
GrowthRing & Supply’s Project Rising Drop 06 is set to release on GRS’s website January 22.
