1.When you agree to do something and then immediately start worrying about the logistics…
How long will it take the get there? What time should I leave?? Will there be parking???
2.And then start imagining every possible worst case scenario associated with those logistics…
4.When you’re about to hang out with people and everything’s going fine but then you get hit with that sweet, sweet social anxiety.
5.When you’re talking to someone and get worried you said something weird…
6.So after they leave you end up obsessing about it for the next three hours…
7.Or the rest of the day…
8.Or well into the night…
9.When you’re faced with a seemingly super-simple decision but decide to turn it into a very difficult, life-changing decision.
Deciding whether to buy a shirt in gray or black should NOT take an hour. And yet…
10.When you’re about to go to sleep and all your anxieties are like, “Hey! remember me???”
“Time to rehash everything you’ve ever done wrong since birth!!!”
11.When you feel anxious and you literally don’t even know why…
12.And then a non-anxious person decides to put their two cents in.
13.When you have a bit of a breakdown and then try to act completely normal two seconds later.
14.When you’re worried you’ve upset your friends so you ask them ten different times if they’re mad at you.
“Are you sure…OK, but are you sure?”
15.When you check to make sure your door is locked even though you definitely already locked it.
16.And do the exact same thing with your car.
17.When you try to explain why you’re anxious to someone who doesn’t normally get anxious.
18.When you’re packing for a trip and start to wayyyy overpack because you just never know what might happen…
19.And then you also arrive at the airport extra early, just in case.
20.When someone tells you something they think isn’t a big deal, but it sends you into a tailspin…
21.And then that person tries to tell you to “calm down.”
22.When you start eating everything in sight because you’re anxious…
23.Or, when you physically can’t eat because you’re too anxious.
24.And finally, when the anxiety passes and you’re met with sweet, sweet relief.
Time to get back to living your life! For now…
