John Legend and Chrissy Teigen's baby girl says first word and it's adorable

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have shared a video to make your heart melt after their baby daughter uttered her first word.

The American pop star, 44, and former model, 37, have four children together, with the most recent, son Wren Alexander, arriving in June of this year.

John and Chrissy tied the knot in September 2013 after originally meeting seven years earlier, with their first child, daughter Luna, born in the spring of 2016.

Their second child, son Miles, now five, was born in May 2018, while their third child, Esti, was born in January of this year – all of them via in vitro fertilisation (IVF).

It seems Esti, while only being eight months old, is already getting chatty with her parents, and John was luckily on hand to capture the sweet moment.

In the intimate family video, John can be overheard asking Esti, ‘What’s my name?’ before Chrissy and a loved one attempt to help her say ‘Dada’.

A smile then forms on Esti’s face as she looks John in the eye and repeats: ‘Dada.’It’s a moment that excited Chrissy and John, although maybe a little too much.

As the couple understandably cheered with excitement at Esti’s words, their newborn got a little upset at the noise and the video cut as she started crying.

In the video, Chrissy is seen cradling Wren Alexander, who was born via surrogacy to the couple whose real names are John Stephens and Christine Teigen.

Last week, the family of six were seen in heart-warming family photos during their first holiday since their new baby arrived, jetting off to a tropical location.

Towards the end of 2020, the couple revealed they lost what would have been their third child when Chrissy suffered a miscarriage after a medical complication.

A statement published at the time said: ‘On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through.’

Last year, however, Chrissy referred to the tragic incident as ‘an abortion to save my life for a baby that had absolutely no chance [of survival]’.
