Jordan Brand is already looking ahead to next year, gearing up for the upcoming 2023 Lunar New Year. As the Year of the Rabbit approaches, the titular shoe brand is tapping into the extensive reach of the sneaker community, following in the footsteps of its Nike counterparts to join in on the celebrations of the Lunar New Year. Luka Dončić‘s signature shoe has become the first performance silhouette to join the brand’s honorary endeavors, seeing the Jordan Luka 1 arrive to round out the “Year of the Rabbit” collection.
The shoe is constructed in a cream tonal palette across the mesh base and protective TPU overlays. The Jordan Luka 1 features a low-cut design that features the new IsoPlate system and the full-length Formula23 foam in the midsole for additional responsiveness for athletes. The offering sees the basketball shoe features faded shades of olive accents on the tongue tabs while embracing the red embroidery for the Dončić logo and parts of the rubber heel counter while the gold and red pull tabs draws a resemblance to the Jordan 36 “El Matador” PE. The shoe sits atop a semi-translucent outsole to round out the design.
