Jordan Peele is set to release the new anthology book Out There Screaming: An Anthology of New Black Horror next month.
The 400-page title is curated by and features a foreword written by the director himself. Peele handpicked stories from authors Erin E. Adams, Violet Allen, Lesley Nneka Arimah, Maurice Broaddus, Chesya Burke, P. Djèlí Clark, Ezra Claytan Daniels, Tananarive Due, Nalo Hopkinson, N. K. Jemisin, Justin C. Key, L. D. Lewis, Nnedi Okorafor, Tochi Onyebuchi, Rebecca Roanhorse, Nicole D. Sconiers, Rion Amilcar Scott, Terence Taylor and Cadwell Turnbul that not only celebrates Black horror but also explores both “the terrors of the supernatural” and “the chilling reality of injustice that haunts our nation.”
Out There Screaming: An Anthology of New Black Horror releases October 3 as a hardcover, audiobook and for the Amazon Kindle via Amazon.
Elsewhere in entertainment, HBO cancelled Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty after only two seasons.
