London-based imprint maharishi is no stranger to military influence. Recently, Hardy Blechman’s label has looked back in time with a capsule inspired by the Convair B-58 Hustler – an American-designed fighter that took to the skies during the 1950s — and a “Battle Royale” collection for Fall/Winter 2022 that blended oversized silhouettes with details from early and experimental U.S. Air Force flight uniforms. Now, maharishi has teamed up with Dosnoventa to develop a limited edition fixed gear bicycle.
Coated with “Golden Tigerstripe” camouflage details — a pattern that originated in Vietnam during the ’60s — maharishi and Dosnoventa have labeled their collaboration as a bike that’s “made by cyclists, for cyclists.” The bicycle features a “Los Angeles” frame and it’s designed to be a single-speed and multipurpose bike that’s suitable for daily commuting as well as more demanding competition and training needs. Crafted with durable Airplane tubing, the frame is coated in a matte black hue and features subtle graphic treatments that nod to the Vietnamese “Tigerstripe” influence.
You can have a closer look at the maharishi x Dosnoventa collaboration above and the bike will be available to purchase on the official maharishi website from October 6.
