Over a 29 year period the Evian Championship has built up a reputation as one of the most prestigious events in golf. In 2013 it was elevated to major championship status, and just last year the purse rose to $6.4 million USD with a winner’s share of $1 million USD, a big milestone for a women’s tournament. It also happens to be one of those moments when a sponsor falls into place naturally. The tournament is held in Evian-les-Bains, a town in the French Alps where evian sources all of its mineral water. And the host site? The Evian Resort Golf Club.
Capturing the essence of summer in the mountains, Malbon Golf has joined forces with evian once again to craft an apparel collection that invites you to indulge in self care. How else would one spend time in the French Alps? While last year’s collection centered around a bomber jacket with accompanying pieces, this year the centerpiece is a luxurious bathrobe offered in white or evian’s signature muted pink. An evian-branded Buckets logo features on the left chest, while on the back side of the piece either brand’s full spell-outs are stacked on top of one another. The hooded robe is constructed from French terry cotton and finished with ribbed cuffs.
The supporting cast of tee shirts, crewneck sweaters and bucket hats are all served up in either white or pink with Malbon and evian co-branding. The crewnecks are once again crafted from terry cotton, while the tee shirts are made of cotton jersey.
Robes retail for $180 USD, crewnecks for $150 USD and tee shirts for $80 USD, all available via Malbon Golf’s website.
Elsewhere in golf fashion, Del Toro will outfit team USA at the Ryder Cup in Rome with player edition shoes.
