Following its collaboration with U.K.-based designer Margaret Howell, Japanese sportswear label Mizuno enlists the help of British footwear platform Hartcopy for a trio of sneaker releases.
The traditional print publication is developing into a driving force in the U.K. footwear scene, hopping from Instagram to physical hardcopy earlier this year. Titled “The Hartcopy Journal,” its pages speak on the history behind sneakers, the hands who craft them, and their humble origins and backstories.
Dubbed the “Undyed Pack,” the kicks act as the next installment to Mizuno’s trail-ready Kizuna series and aim to highlight the duo’s shared outlook on community. Enriched by tones of pale blue and light tan, the forthcoming trilogy sees the 1993 Sky Medal S accompanied by modern silhouettes, including the Contender S and City Wind sneakers.
Materials are presented in their natural state for sustainable delivery, all mutually fashioned with supple suede overlays, rugged canvas underpinnings, gum soles, and cork medial “Enso” logos. The latter showcases their collective love for alfresco settings, promoting raw elements and the beauty that they exude.
The Mizuno x Hartcopy Undyed Pack will be available on October 14 via select U.K. retailers such as Flannels, Wellgosh and more. Prices for the collection range from £105 GBP to £120 GBP (approximately $117 USD and $134 USD).
