Nicki Minaj Revives ‘Queen Radio’ on Amazon’s New App Amp

Nicki Minaj is bringing her popular Queen Radio show to Amazon’s new streaming app, Amp. The artist shared the news of the show’s revival, which was formerly an Apple Music exclusive, on her Instagram Live.

Launched in 2018, Queen Radio spanned 17 episodes and saw Minaj sit down with Ariana Grande, 50 Cent, Chance the Rapper and more. The show aired its last installment in 2020.

“I am very excited to be partners with Amazon on bringing back Queen Radio,” Minaj said during the live stream. “Queen Radio is something that is so dear to my heart.”

“Of course, there have been times where I’ve thought about not wanting to do Queen Radio or any radio for that matter, but why not?” she continued.

Similar to Clubhouse, Amazon’s Amp is a free-to-download live streaming service that allows artists to play DJ while chatting with listeners. The service has partnered with three major music labels — Universal, Sony and Warner — as well as independent companies.

Fans in the United States can download the beta version of Amp using Minaj’s exclusive access code.

In addition to Minaj, Pusha-T, Tinashe, Lil Yachty, Travis Barker and Big Boi are among those with their own Amp radio shows.
