Off-White™ Reimagines the Classic Black Leather Chelsea Boot

Over the years, Virgil Abloh‘s Off-White™ has worked hard to reflect on the ever-developing world of streetwear, going from a focus on cross-printed T-shirts to informal and progressive tailoring and other luxury items — and now, it has dropped a pair of Chelsea Boots to complete its grown-up vision.

While we’d be hard-pushed to say Off-White™ has ‘reinvented’ the Chelsea, we might go as far to say it’s been interpreted under its own lense. With this in mind, the all-black leather pair is fitted with a prominent silver zipper on the lateral side (complete with a paper clip-shaped zipper pull), as well as a silver hex nut next to this.

An extended heel tab running from the sole to over the collar also gets the full Off-White™ treatment, sporting an asymmetrical design that features randomly placed cut-outs in the leather. A brown and green-split sponge sole unit is equally interesting, as the outsole is waved and ridged, and somehow it’s curvaceous yet squared-off at areas such as the toe. Zig-zag stitching and an orange-tan leather interior rounds out the Off-White™ Chelsea Boot.
