Patek Philippe Reveals Its Watches & Wonders Offerings

For Watches & Wonders 2023, Patek Philippe is releasing a plethora of time-telling novelties, ranging from the Grandmaster Chime, Minute Time Repeater, Annual Calendars, to numerous iterations of the Calatrava models and more.

Grandmaster Chime Ref. 6300GR

As part of Patek’s expansive Grand Complications collection, this timepiece is dubbed as the “most complicated wristwatch” by the horologer. Attired in a two-tone construction made of white gold and rose gold, complete with a brown opaline dial. For a seamless look, the cufflinks echo the overall color scheme with matching materials and are finished with a hand-guilloched hobnail pattern and a rose gold Calatrava cross. The watch runs on the calibre 300 GS AL 36‑750 QIS FUS IRM, a manually-wound mechanical movement fitted with grande and petite sonnerie. Aligning with the overall aesthetic, the timepiece is paired with a patinated dark chestnut alligator leather strap.

Grandmaster Chime Ref. 6300/403G

Marrying aspects of Haute Horlogerie with Haute Joaillerie, the Ref 6300/403G-001 is an exquisite timepiece set with 118-baguette-cut emeralds, as well as 291 baguette-cut diamonds. Arriving in a white gold case embedded with diamonds all around its sides and lugs, the bezel is studded with emeralds, framing the black opaline dial with a dazzling play on contrast. To match the striking watch, the shiny black leather strap is also embellished with green hand-stitched details with an emerald-set fold-over clasp as fastening.

Cased in platinum, this new reference emanates contemporary appeal with its blue metalized sapphire crystal dial. The dark gradient rim encircling the intricate dial creates a vignette-like effect that makes the watch face pop. Although the straps are essentially still made of calfskin leather, its top layer is embossed with a woven fabric pattern that offers a refreshing look to the model. Beating inside the watch is the manual-winding R TO 27 PS QR calibre with a power reserve of 48 hours.

Nowing coming in a white gold build, the self-winding reference is highlighted with a new cloisonné Grand Feu enamel motif on its dial. Completely hand-made, the motif depicts a well-known steamship from the Belle Époque fleet that’s currently still active on Lake Geneva. Housed inside this exquisite time-teller is the caliber R 27 HU that always chimes local time, complete with 24-hour and day/night indication for all various time zones. The leather strap that comes with it is selected in a blue-green hue to complement the scenery in the dial center.

Similar to Reference 5531G, this timepiece is also a self-winding Minute Repeater adorned with a Grand Feu enamel dial. Instead of idyllic scenery, it stars mesmerizing swirls composed of hand-guilloched patterns. The dial is finished with a translucent enamel coating, accompanied by a peacock blue leather strap, as well as an additional orange option.

Adding to the Maison’s lineup of travel time-tellers, this new rose-gold Calatrava combines timeless elegance with its original 24-hour display. Its prominent navy-blue dial is accentuated with a double railway-track scale, framing alternating Arabic numbers. At the lower center mark, a cabochon 5-minute marker is present, completing the legible dial with a polished, and refined look. Visible through its sapphire crystal caseback, the watch is powered by the 31-260 PS FUS 24H movement, a new and evolved calibre from the 31-260.

Pairing a sunburst dial in a brilliant blue with a warm, rose-gold case, this new Patek chronograph exudes not only timeless appeal but also with added contemporary flair. As an amalgamation of the Maison’s two popular complications, the timepiece is outfitted with a patented Annual Calendar, as well as a self-winding flyback chronograph function. When fully wound, the configured CH 28-520 QA 24H self-winding calibre provides up to 55 hours of power reserve.

Unveiled in two colorways, the 5525G Calatrava is Patek Philippe’s first chronograph in its Pilot-style series. Housed in a 42mm white gold case, the dials are either doused in a lacquered khaki green or presented in a sunburst blue-gray and accompanied by matching leather straps. On the time-keeping front, the gold-applied Arabic numerals, along with the hour and minute hands are finished with luminescent coating for readability in dark conditions. Like the other Calatrava models, this piece also utilizes the CH 28‑520 C FUS self-winding mechanical calibre.

The Calatrava collection continues to expand with the arrival of three watches embellished with primary colored details. Featuring a graphic-style design, the watches are outfitted with ebony black dials that spotlight a “carbon” pattern embossed center display. The embossing is also reiterated in the accompanying leather straps’ exteriors. Its slim 40mm case is made of white gold, while its see-through caseback showcases the in-built self-winding 26‑330 S C movement with a date and sweep-seconds function.

Dressed in a rose gold case with a diamond-set bezel, this Calatrava women’s wristwatch is crafted in a slim and compact 35mm case size. Despite its smaller size, its mystical purple dial leaves an impact on any wandering eye, as it’s accentuated with a concentric waves pattern. Completing this opulent timepiece are its ultra-thin self-winding 240 calibre, as well as the coordinating purple leather straps that comes in a satinated finish.

Running inside the watch is the caliber E 15 quartz movement with an average battery life of three years.

With a diameter of just under 40mm, this new addition to the Aquanaut Luce collection is thoughtfully designed to incorporate the Maison’s Annual Calendar. Arriving in an iconic rose gold case with a rounded octagonal bezel, the watch exudes sporty-chic appeal when completed with the blue-gray strap made of composite material. Its matching dial comes embossed with the signature Aquanaut pattern, which really allows the applied indices to pop.

The 5268 Aquanaut Luce comes in a slightly smaller size than the aforementioned timepiece, measuring 38.8mm in diameter, and 8.5mm in height. Similar to the 5261R, its dial is embossed with the distinctive Aquanaut pattern, while this model sets itself apart with a taupe colorway and a bezel set with 48 diamonds. As it’s a self-winding timepiece, the mechanical 26‑330 S C calibre is incorporated, complete with sweep seconds and date function

Ref. 5968R Aquanaut Chronograph

Bearing many similar attributes to the previous two models, the 5968R Aquanaut Chronograph features a sportier design with a complementing CH 28‑520 C calibre. The rose gold case measures 42.4mm in diameter, featuring a sunburst dial doused in a deep brown. The black-gradient rim implemented on the dial is further enhanced with the models’ signature Aquanaut embossed pattern.
