Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo are set to auction off a very special Zenith watch that’s been reworked by Kari Voutilainen and his team. Picking up where the 10-piece limited edition platinum Cal 135-O left off in June last year, this unique piece is made from Niobium with a striking salmon guilloché dial.
Julien Tornare, CEO of ZENITH, comments, “I’m honored to come together again with Phillips and Kari Voutilainen for a truly exceptional piece, and for a good cause. The Calibre 135 Observatoire Unique Piece is a highly embellished and invaluable piece of ZENITH history.” Kari Voutilainen shares his thoughts on the project, “This stunning salmon color dial ZENITH Calibre 135-O, with the unique history behind it, in a unique case, with a unique dial, will be the only one now and forever.”
Powered by a Calibre 135 movement in its “O” variant — created specifically for Observatory trials — the movement has been awarded 230 chronometry prizes, and features a height of 5mm with a 14mm balance wheel, and a pink gold finish. Further separating this from the early batch of 10 is its rare metal niobium case. Phillips is set to auction off this watch on November 5 where all proceeds of the sale will go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
