Pink Dial Project Auctions One-Off Watches To Fight Breast Cancer

The Pink Dial Project is gearing up to sell off a host of unique watches next week, with 100% of the proceeds raised funding efforts to fight breast cancer.

Nineteen specially created “prototype” watches with pink dials – and one pink illustration by watch artist Julie Kraulis – will be put up for auction on October 25th for seven days on Loupe This, a new luxury watch auction platform from renowned collector Eric Ku.

The Pink Dial Project, which makes its debut this year, takes its cue from the color associated with the fight against breast cancer and will donate all proceeds to the Union of International Cancer Control to support their work around the globe.

Here, HYPEBEAST takes a look at some of the most compelling lots.

Airain Type 20 Pink Ribbon Pièce Unique
Est. $3,200 USD

Airain

A brand founded in 1934 and revived in 2020, Airain historically produced Type 20 chronographs for the French Army. Today the modern brand recreates those watches in exacting details using column wheel chronograph movements with flyback function from La Joux-Perret, countdown bezels and Hesalite glass. The Airain Pink Ribbon Piece Unique opts for a suave shade of powder pink.

Bamford London B347 – Pink

Est. $2,950 USD

Bamford London

The forged carbon case of Bamford London’s new monopusher chronograph illustrates just how well it works with a multitude of colors – launched in a pale blue, but here emblazoned with shocking pink dial and rubber strap. Inside is a Swiss-made Sellita SW510 MPa with 62-hour power reserve.

Bulgari Octo Finissimo – Ref. 103641

Est. $16,500 USD

Bulgari

Bulgari has used just a dash of high contrast pink for the asymmetrical small seconds on an otherwise all-black sandblasted ceramic Octo Finissimo, the brand’s now iconic model. Powering the watch is an ultra- thin automatic BVL 138 movement with micro-rotor.

IWC Big Pilot’s Watch 43 Edition “Pink Dial Project”

Est. $9,250 USD

Airain

IWC adds a vivid pink, sunray-brushed dial with white indices to its unmistakeable Big Pilot’s Watch. The 43mm stainless steel watch houses an IWC-manufactured 4Hz automatic 82100 movement and is secured on a white rubber strap.

M.A.D.1 Pink Dial Project

Est. $2-3,000 USD

Mb&f

A unique opportunity to buy the watch that, until now, has been strictly reserved for ‘friends and family’ of Max Busser’s haute horlogerie brand, MB&F. While the M.A.D.1 – which features its winding rotor on the dial and displays the time on two rings around the caseband – has been produced to be much more accessibly priced, the first run was only offered to those customers and associates of the brand.

Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Pink Dial Project, R32128102

Est. $3,800 USD

Rado

Rado’s High-Tech Ceramic Captain Cook gets a matte-finish ceramic bezel insert and a pink chapter ring, which also complements the ruby shade used for the backplate of Rado’s moving anchor symbol on the dial. Inside is an R734 automatic movement with an 80-hour power reserve and a Nivachron antimagnetic hairspring.

Zenith Chronomaster Revival A3818 “Cover Girl” Unique Piece

Est. $11-13,000 USD

Airain

Zenith has reworked its ‘Cover Girl’ limited edition with its 37mm brushed stainless steel case and “ladder” bracelet, adding a simple but effective pale pink dial with white and grey markings. The chronograph is powered by a Zenith El Primero column-wheel Calibre 400 movement with 50-hour power reserve.

All of the lots can be viewed and bid on at Loupe This from Monday.

Elsewhere in watches, Bovet recreates an electric hypercar as a limited edition flying tourbillon.
