During the recent “Pokémon Presents” video presentation, Tsunekazu Ishihara, president and CEO of The Pokémon Company, officially announced Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus with full trailers showcasing gameplay.
Coming after a recent leak outlining the release of the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remakes, the announcement for the upcoming Nintendo Switch titles are the latest in the on-going 25th-anniversary celebrations from the Pokémon franchise.
Releasing later this year, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl serve as remakes of the 2006 Nintendo DS releases brings players back to the Sinnoh region. Faithfully reproduced and colorfully revitalized, the core elements have been updated to match the easy-to-understand, player-friendly conveniences, along with up-close-and-personal battle scenes introduced in recent Pokémon games.
While Pokémon Legends: Arceus, set to launch early 2022, goes beyond the established core series of Pokémon titles with a new action RPG framework. Also exploring the Sinnoh region, the interactive seamless gameplay offers plays a new immersive experience in the work of Pokémon.
To finish up the “Pokémon Presents” video presentation new details about New Pokémon Snap also for the Nintendo Switch were revealed, along with announcements for special 25th anniversary in-game events (Pokémon GO, Pokémon Sword and Shield, Pokémon Masters EX and Pokémon Café Mix.
