A second posthumous album from Pop Smoke is reportedly in the works, as revealed by the late artist’s manager, Rico Beats.
Taking to social media to quietly make the announcement, Beats can be seen taking a photo in front of a mirror with what looks to be a Victor Victor Worldwide rug on the floor and the caption “I see and hear everything kept it cool tho no worries pay back around the corner Pop smoke new album loading,…” Steven Victor, the music exec who owns the label Pop is signed to, seems to reaffirm the announcement by commenting on the post with a chilli pepper emoji.
While a release date was not shared, the announcement falls in line with Victor’s previous comments about new material from the late artist. In a January 2021 Instagram post, he replied “yes” to a fan who asked “New pop coming?” in the comments section, and confirmed with another listener that the artist’s verses with Fredo Bang and Young Adz have been cleared and are “coming soon.”
In case you missed it, Victor Victor Worldwide teamed up with NIGO for a range of merch.
