When Russell Athletic teamed up with New York-based studio Ceeze late last year, it did so with an aim of keeping waste materials to the bare minimum. Surplus sweatshirt stock was used to create a selection of varsity jackets which came equipped with sustainable, high-quality cactus leather for sleeves, resulting in a unique and sustainably-focused capsule.
Three months on from this initial link up, the two brands have reunited to make use of the surplus materials leftover from that collection, using the extra sleeves and hoods that were cut away.
Entitled “Reclaimed”, this unique hoodie capsule is made up of entirely unneeded fabrics that have been reworked into a series of limited-edition pieces. Hoods from past projects have also been used and stitched together, along with miss match length sleeves applied from other unused materials.
The Russell Athletic x Ceeze “Reclaimed Hoodie” collection is set to drop on February 9 and will be available via the Ceeze webstore.
