Sneakers76 and LC23 have just wrapped up their “Due Due” event in Southern Italy — Apulia to be exactly. Celebrating the rich culture and history of the Apulian region, the Southern Italy-based names Sneakers76 (Taranto) and LC23 (Bari) themed the experience around the Apulian expression, “Due Due.”
The two names referenced this saying which perfectly encapsulates the Apulian tradition of hospitality, generosity, and sharing in order to start a conversation with its guests and peers on some of the current issues involving sustainability and inclusion.
As food waste is a growing concern, Sneakers76, led by Daniele Valente, took the group to see where some of Italy’s prized ingredients come from. Surrounded by traditional Apulian architecture like trulli and masserie, food, family, and nature were joined together by recycling activities, workshops, talks. The final result encouraged all participants to head home to their respective cities in order to spread the message to the rest of the world.
