For his second official release of the year, Soulja Boy has dropped his highly-anticipated album Big Draco. Out via his own SODMG Records, the project follows February’s Soulja World and happens to arrive on the same day as the rapper’s 31st birthday.
Capped at a brief twenty six minutes, the 12-track LP packs in features from Bow Wow, Omarion, Desiigner and Tadoe. Rounding off the album is the declarative single “I Was the First Rapper,” while the collaborative song “Bow Wow vs. Soulja Boy” takes a look at the namesake rappers’ not-so-serious rivalry in the aftermath of their Verzuz rap battle last month.
While the two artists remain in disagreement on who came out victorious, the lead-up saw the rappers brutally troll one another on social media, with Soulja Boy calling his competitor by his government name and promising him a brand new Lamborghini if he beat him.
Surprisingly, “She Make it Clap,” which went viral with its own challenge on TikTok, doesn’t appear on the 12-track LP. Its absence, however, points in the direction of rumors that Soulja Boy is already working on another album.
Big Draco is out on all streaming platforms today, July 28.
In other music news, Vince Staples revealed that Mac Miller refused to take royalties from their collaboration mixtape.
