We’re currently seven months on from when London-based label Story mfg. launched Gentlefullness — its new imprint which was launched in collaboration with Dan Pacitti and Oshadi Collective. And while the new label — which you can read more about in Hypebeast’s new U.K. brand spotlight feature — is going from strength to strength, Story mfg. is also doing the same. With this in mind, the British brand has just presented a new collection and it takes things back to basics with high quality cotton-linen fabrications and earth design processes.
Traditionally, Story mfg.’s “ROOTS” umbrella is known for dying its garments with fruits, bark, leaves and microorganisms, while the branding is kept minimal with cross-stitch designs that read “Story mfg.” on its pockets. The new collection welcomes more of the same, with a melange of pastel-colored tones that lean into hues of yellow, brown, blue, green and orange. Collection highlights come in the form of the new “Lush Pants” which are available in a “Babul Bark” colorway and come tapered with a zip fly and drawcord at the waist. The trousers are also crafted from 100% organic cotton and are available in a number of different colors.
Another stand-out is the “Greetings Shirt” which is designed to be worn as a co-ord number with the “Lush Pants.” The shirt is presented in a similar fashion to a classic bowling shirt and comes in a wide, cropped and oversized silhouette. Once again, the garment is crafted from 100% cotton-linen. Rounding off the collection, Story mfg. has also presented a new cotton-linen tote bag.
You can have a closer look at the new “ROOTS” collection from Story mfg. above and it is available now on the brand’s official website.
