Shortly after sharing a teaser image, Supreme has now returned to showcase its latest Spring/Summer 2023 collection. Revealing the range, we are presented with a simple lookbook starring members of its current skate team – Tyshawn Jones, Sean Pablo, Efron Danzig, and Taito.
The seasonal offering is dominated by a striking mix of textiles, distressing, patterns, prints, patchwork, embroidery, and badge applications. As per usual, references come far and wide led by signature artful inspirations tied by a uniquely New York outlook. Aside from artful inspirations are design motifs drawn from sports, music, food, military styling, and rugged workwear.
Despite transitioning towards the warmer weather ahead, the SS23 collection features a heavy selection of outerwear featuring a mix of new options like the Leather GORE-TEX 700-Fill Puffer and plays on Supreme’s established outerwear styles. The label has also continued its relationship with heritage names for outfitting in the form of a multicolor Vanson leather offering and Sequin Jacket, Satin Baseball Jersey and Satin Short set in collaboration with Mitchell & Ness.
Collaborations for the season continue with an unexpected team-up with Cactus Plant Flea Market that resulted in a varsity jacket and hoodie, styles marked by graphics from British designer Sue Clowes, and a set of jackets, jersey, pants, and shorts with Umbro. Along with a belt, wallet, and keychain in collaboration with leather specialists Hollywood Trading Company. While pop culture celebrations include Supreme’s look back at its past photo campaigns and the iconic late Nirvana frontman, Kurt Cobain.
The focus on art this season continues with styles decorated with artwork from Frank Miller‘s Ronin comic series and Mark Gonzales returns for the release of a sweater, chino, and bags.
Supreme’s SS23 collection will see its regular weekly releases, starting with its first drop arriving on February 16, and in Japan on February 18. Also, take a full look at the latest seasonal collection.
