Official images of the New Balance 2002R Mule have been released.
While the mule format is nothing new for New Balance — many will remember the M801 clog of yesteryear — these take the more recent winning formula of the 2002R and chop off the top for maximum comfort and effortless styling.
Dropping first in a Rain Cloud/Marblehead and Mindful Grey/Marblehead colorway, each pair features the tech found in their non-mule versions like the N-ERGY and ABZORB heel cushioning. The main difference aside from the removal of the heel can be found in the absence of a lacing system to fully complete the mule look.
These have currently dropped in China with no stateside release announced as of yet.
In other footwear news, Matthew M. Williams’ Givenchy TK360 full knit sneakers have an official release date.
