A second season of The Weeknd and Sam Levinson’s The Idol could be in the works.
Following the airing of the season one finale, lead actor and creator The Weeknd took to Twitter to share some words of gratitude and behind-the-scene photos of him and Lily-Rose Depp, who plays the lead role of Jocelyn. “the finale. grateful to share this moment with you all as the season comes to an end. continue to push the vision no matter how bumpy the journey,” he tweeted. “Jocelyn Forever.”
The tweet sparked speculation of a season two as The Weeknd touched on being able to “continue to push the vision” and the phrase “season comes to an end” rather than “series.” A second season is yet to be announced by HBO, however, and the network confirmed in mid-June that season two is yet to be confirmed.
