If you ever make it to the White House, your chances of publishing a tell-all book at some point in your life shoot up dramatically — but have there ever been quite so many tell-alls in quick succession as there have been for the Trump administration? President Donald Trump’s former colleagues, from administration staff like former National Security Advisor John Bolton to former lawyer Michael Cohen, have all eagerly signed book deals, recorded conversations, and done what they needed to do to get their inside look at POTUS’ inside life in the public’s hands. And they’re not alone. Ever since Trump has entered the White House, even former colleagues and family members have been publishing their own tell-alls — and needless to say, the picture they paint is downright frightening.
I paraphrase, of course, but by and large, these authors describe Trump as an incompetent, hair-trigger narcissist who’s a constant danger to himself and others — and the rest of the Trump family doesn’t fare much better. According to Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, author of Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship With the First Lady, Melania Trump is a woman whose disregard for others is matched only by her own husband, while Vicky Ward, author of Kushner, Inc.
, describes Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner as the president’s “greatest liability.”
Suffice it to say these past four years in the White House have been like nothing these authors have ever seen — and they felt a duty to speak out. We doubt we’ve seen the last of the Trump tell-alls yet, but for now, read on for our favorites.
