Burgeoning label Todd Patrick has returned with another standout collection. This time, for Spring/Summer 2023, the brand has turned its attention to the past.
Brand partners Desyree Nicole and Gabriella Paulino have managed to keep TP on the front lines of fashion’s new school, by melding streamlined tailoring with innovative craftsmanship. And their forecasting for SS23 centers on a relaxed aesthetic that comprises a square-cut leather short set, wide-legged trousers with net overlay, cropped boxy jackets and netted tanks.
With a muted color palette of brown, blue, and moss green, TP’s latest offerings allow refined stitching and intricate fabric layering to be revealed in each design. Emphasizing the brand’s early beginnings – circa 2016 – the collection and campaign are aptly titled “Small Town, Big Dreams,” with Nicole and Paulino looking back to the early days that fueled TP’s development.
The brand’s Creative Director, Nicole (who hails from Michigan), says the new collection is “an ode to every small town kid that dreams bigger than the street they grew up on.”
“Love what we did with this one – storytelling being key. [We] literally shot the entire campaign at a house in Michigan, I got for my mother. Couple of shots in front of my 1964 Buick LeSabre… I still have best friends that I have been friends with since I was 12 years old,” added Nicole.
Todd Patrick’s full SS23 collection and campaign (along with order placement), can be accessed via the brand’s website.
Elsewhere in fashion, Montblanc launched its “Extreme 3.0” collection for Summer 2022.
