Leave it to MSCHF to create internet-breaking footwear moments as it has manufactured Air Force 1-inspired silhouettes, kicks that you can rock from the front and back as well as its unforgettable Big Red Boots. And now the brand has made another statement at this summer’s Paris Fashion Week by tapping TOMM¥ €A$H to debut its zany Crocs-inspired Big Yellow Boots.
The Estonian artist was spotted rocking the gaudy kicks at the Rick Owens runway show where he was sitting front row in a mime-inspired outfit that featured matching yellow suspenders and an umbrella hat. The kicks bear the same oversized and gaudy shape as its previously-released Big Red Boots, but have been designed with punched-out holes and rectangles across their base. In addition, a heel strap has been added to the rear to resemble that of the popular Crocs Classic Clog, although this isn’t a silhouette that you’ll be able to switch into sport mode.
Crocs is aware of the wacky boots’ debut and comically commented “I-” on TOMM¥ €A$H’s Instagram post. At the time of writing, a public release hasn’t been confirmed, but expect MSCHF to announce more information soon.
For other news, MSCHF auctioned off its microscopic handbag.
